Stir up the mixture before dipping the bread to make sure the corn starch isn’t collected at the bottom. Dip bread in the mixture for 5-10 seconds on each side, or until well coated.
Heat a frying pan with some vegan butter. Once pan is heated, add the soaked bread and let cook on each side for about 3-5 minutes, or until outside is crispy and golden brown.
Make sure to use a thick slice of bread for this recipe. Stale bread also works great. My favorite loaf of bread to use are a nice crusty french bread, ciabatta or Texas toast.
