  • If you want extra chewy tofu, freeze it in the package and completely thaw. Then press the tofu for 15 minutes. Tear the tofu into bite sized pieces.
  • Mix flour, spices and plant milk together until you make a pancake batter consistency.
½ cup all purpose flour, 1 tablespoon nutritional yeast, ½ teaspoon salt, ½ teaspoon black pepper, 1 teaspoon onion powder, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon smoked paprika, 1 cup unsweetened plant milk
  • Dip tofu into batter, then dip into breadcrumbs.
    1 cup breadcrumbs

Air fryer directions

  • Pre-heat your air fryer at 400 degrees.
  • Oil or line your air fryer basket. Place a few tofu cubes in the basket, but try not to overcrowd. You may need to do two batches.
  • Air fry at 400 degrees for 15 minutes, flipping halfway through. If your tofu doesn't look crispy or golden brown, keep air frying until it does.
  • In a small sauce pan add the buffalo sauce and vegan butter and heat on low until the butter melts.
1 cup buffalo hot sauce, 1 tablespoon vegan butter
  • Add the crispy tofu to the buffalo sauce once they are all done. Stir them to coat well. Add them back in the air fryer for 1-2 minutes to crisp them back up.

Oven directions

  • Pre-heat oven to 415 degrees.
  • Add tofu bites to a lined baking sheet. Bake for 30 minutes.
  • In a small sauce pan add the buffalo sauce and vegan butter and heat on low until the butter melts.
1 cup buffalo hot sauce, 1 tablespoon vegan butter
  • After 30 minutes, take out of oven and put into a bowl. Add buffalo sauce. Mix well until each piece is coated.
  • Put back in oven for 10 minutes

Make the ranch

  • Mix all ingredients together until smooth.
½ cup vegan mayo, 2 tablespoon vinegar, ½ teaspoon salt and pepper, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 3 tablespoon unsweetened plant milk, 1 teaspoon dried dill and parsley, 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Cut up lettuce and top with your favorite salad ingredients.
  • Top with buffalo bites and homemade rance

Notes

Freezing the tofu is optional. If you like a chewy and firm texture, this does the trick. If you forget and don't have time, don't worry. Just make sure you press some of the water out of the tofu.
