Easy Sautéed Asparagus

Easy, basic sauteed asparagus. Perfect introduction to this delicious, nutritious spring vegetable. Fantastic side dish

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch of asparagus
  • 1 clove of garlic minced
  • 1-2 teaspoon of olive oil
  • Handful of cherry or grape tomatoes
  • Handful of pine nuts
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoon of water

Instructions

  • Trim woody, tough bottoms off of asparagus
  • Put asparagus in a big bowl of water and rinse well
  • Heat oil in a frying pan over medium high heat - about 1 minute
  • Add in the asparagus and garlic - cook for 2 minutes
  • Add in water and let it cook through the rest of the way - about 1 minute
  • Add tomatoes & pine nuts - cook for 1 minute
  • Season well with pepper and salt
