MAPLE MISO TOFU

This delicious sticky maple miso tofu will take your tofu cooking to the next level. Baked until crispy and then finished on the stove to make it chewy and sticky. Goes great in rice or buddha bowls or tofu veggie stir fry’s.

Prep Time:  15 min

– 1 tablespoon miso paste (any color is fine but I used red) – 2 tablespoons water – ¼ cup low sodium soy sauce – 2 tablespoons maple syrup – 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil – 2 tablespoons rice vinegar – 1 tablespoon minced ginger – 1 tablespoon minced garlic – 1 teaspoon sriracha (optional if you don't like spice) – 1 teaspoon corn starch

Drain the tofu then press it for at least 15 minutes. Either use a tofu press, or set some heavy pans or books on top.

To make the tofu crispy, cut it into cubes. Then coat with some oil, salt and corn starch. Bake for  30 minutes.

Mix all the ingredients together for the maple miso marinade.

Add the marinade and baked tofu to a saute pan and warm through.
